LKQ Self Serve Auto Parts of St. Pete awarded Florida Green Yard status.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recognized the environmental commitment of LKQ Copher Self Service Auto Parts St. Petersburg by designating the facility as a Florida Green Yard. The Florida Green Yards program helps automotive recyclers implement “green” practices that prevent pollution and find alternative uses for automobile parts. LKQ St. Petersburg is the first Green Yard in Pinellas County and the second facility designated by DEP’s Southwest District.
“We are proud to have LKQ St. Petersburg join our effort to preserve Florida’s natural resources,” said DEP Southwest District Director Deborah Getzoff. “Participants in the Green Yard Program stand out as the industry’s environmental leaders.”
